Communication Matters Roadshow

Posted by Allan Wilson on the 29th March, 2018

Communication Matters are holding a Supplier Roadshow in the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Clydebank on Tuesday 22nd May, in association with the Scottish Centre of Technology for the Communication Impaired (SCTCI).

Communication Matters is a UK-wide charity whose members include people who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), their relatives, speech and language therapists, teachers, equipment suppliers and other professionals with an interest in AAC. It exists to promote the use of low tech and high tech equipment to provide a voice for people who have communication difficulties.

Excellent Opportunity

The Roadshow will be attended by several of the UK's leading suppliers of communication aids and will provide an excellent opportunity for speech and language therapists, teachers and others working with people who use AAC to find out more about the equipment that is currently available. The Roadshow is particularly timely, following on from the commencement of legislation in Scotland to ensure provision of communication equipment, and support in using that equipment to any person who has lost their voice or has difficulty speaking.

You can get further information and book a place on the Communication Matters web site. Note that there is a charge of £10 (£5 for members of Communication Matters and AAC users) to attend the day.
