Survey - How do you Select AAC Apps?

Posted by Allan Wilson on the 7th December, 2017

We have been asked to pass on information about a survey into how decisions are made about selecting an appropriate  App for somebody who needs to use augmentative and alternative communication to express themselves. The survey, organised by James Northridge from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is aimed at parents, speech and language therapists and other professionals and closes on Friday December 15th. Participants will be entered into a draw to win an iPad.

What is this study?

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the tools currently used by professionals and parents to inform their recommendations regarding augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) technology. From this information we will develop an AAC selection tool that will help users better tailor their AAC app recommendations and selection.

Study details

The survey has a number of questions relating to how you currently use and select AAC. Participation is voluntary. You do not have to be in this study. We expect the survey to take approximately 15 minutes.
