Family Fun Day: Edinburgh, 24th March 2012

Run by specialist staff, the day is a chance for families of children with additional support needs to try out and learn about the software, hardware and specialised communication technologies that might help support them.(Professionals are also welcome if they are accompanying a child/family!)

The day is FREE and refreshments will be provided. Drop in, or stay all day!

Courses on a range of topics on your own chosen site. Provided on a full-day, part-day, twilight or Saturday basis.

Specialist equipment loans for communication and learning to individuals with disabilities throughout Scotland.

Open-access reference library within the centre. Some books, journals, videos and other material can be borrowed.

Frank is a mobile and active 11 year old who is on the autistic spectrum. He has no speech, but uses a combination of gestures, some BSL signs and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
