There is an open-access reference library within the centre. Some books, journal articles, videos and other material can be borrowed for short periods. The library shares space with that of the Scottish Sensory Centre, bringing together a wide range of specialised educational resources in a single location.

The library has 1800+ titles covering augmentative communication, assessment materials, assistive technology, dyslexia, literacy, additional support needs and the use of technology to support education. The library also includes conference papers, relevant government publications and information on disability-related organisations. Current and past issues of more than 30 journals can be consulted within the library. The library is generally open from 9 am until 5.30 pm (with a 1 hour closure from 1 pm until 2 pm for lunch), but it is best to phone before you visit to make sure there is somebody here.

To search the library database, please enter your query to the right and click the search button.

Notes on using this search: If you would like to return all titles that refer to 'family' or 'families' then search for 'famil' in the text box below.
