experiences of having cerebral palsy and receiving therapies

Posted by 4 on the 25th August, 2015

Colin Young a researcher at University of Glasgow, Strathclyde Centre for Disability Research wants to find out from young people with Cerebral Palsy what their experiences of receiving therapies have been. Colin notes that he too has Cerebral Palsy so he will be no stranger to having had physiotherapy, occupational or speech and language therapies while he was growing up. These and any other therapies are the ones he wants young people to tell him about.

If you are someone with Cerebral Palsy, or know someone who has who might be interested in taking part, then Colin would be keen for you to get in touch.

In order to carry out his research with people his research plans will have had to pass high levels of standards to get ethical approval including on confidentiality. His call for participants reflects that careful attention and we are sure that taking part will be an  interesting and useful experience.

The results of the research will be fascinating and here at CALL we will be interested to learn about these when they are written up and made available.

Colin can be contacted direct at c.young.1@research.gla.ac.uk

The Invitation to Participate gives more information about the process together with additional contact details.
