"Doran" is "shorthand" for the process of implementing the recommendations of the report produced in 2012 by Peter Doran and colleagues aimed at providing better outcomes and experiences for children and young people with complex additional support needs. The recommendations are due to be implemented by August 2017.
The latest Doran Newsletter (No 5) includes an interview with Paul Nisbet, Director of CALL Scotland in which he describes the range of services and support provided by CALL, and talks about CALL's role within the Doran Strategic Commissioning project. The newsletter also contains an interview with Margaret Orr, newly-appointed Chair of the Commissioning Group for Education Provisionfor Children and Young People with Complex Additional Support Needs, and provides updates on the work of the five Doran workstreams.
