There is no end to the demands on teachers’ time and with ever increasing workloads there is pressure to find valuable Professional Learning opportunities.  We have listened to the feedback from past course participants and created new online learning opportunities which offer high quality Professional Learning while importantly, saving on time, the cost of travel and staff cover.

What is on offer?

We have three Online Learning workshops as part of our 2018-19 Professional Learning calendar:

Once you sign up (£30 introductory cost) we send you a web link to click on to check that you are able to access the Adobe Connect conference room.  There are clear, simple instructions on using the chat box to type in questions or you can activate a microphone to speak.

On the day, click on the web conference link and you will then be in a virtual online learning space with CALL Scotland tutors who will facilitate the session.  It is designed to be a collaborative learning experience with interactive elements as well as seeing demos of relevant technology.  The web conference has breakout rooms which participants dip into for focussed activities and discussion.

I just wanted to thank you both for such a helpful course this evening. It was one of the most valuable CPD I have ever experienced. I am very grateful indeed.

We can also offer online Professional Learning for a group of up to 12 staff.  This training can be a completely bespoke programme which would be tailored to teachers’ training requirements. The web conference can be projected up on a screen and everyone watches in the same room or, staff can log into the training session from separate computers – even from home.  Staff can be mirroring activities on laptops, iPads or relevant devices while they are watching software and apps being demonstrated.

The cost of a 2 hour online session is £240 which could equate to £20 per person if 12 staff attend. Plus you get a link to the archived online learning so you can access it a later date for reminders.
