CALL Scotland is pleased to announce a new guide for the iPad - What's new in iOS 11?

Released in September 2017, iOS 11 is the latest version of Apple’s operating system for the iPad (iOS).
iOS 11 introduces new features and capabilities, such as improved multitasking with dragging and dropping, a new Docking Bar and a newly designed Control Centre, making it easy to access and customise Accessibility tools such as large text.

While these new features and tools do not necessarily improve or build on the Accessibility updates in iOS 10, they are indeed very welcome ‘usability’ improvements.

What's in the guide?

  • Customising the Control Centre
  • Screen Recording
  • Using the App Switcher
  • Multitask using the new Docking Bar (including dragging and dropping)
  • Overview of the Files app
  • New Word and Sentence highlighting
  • Scan Documents in Notes
  • Type to Siri...and much more!

Who is the guide for?

  • Anyone supporting pupils using an iPad - teachers, support for learning staff, classroom/learning assistants, librarians.
  • All learners, including those with additional support needs – from schools, to further and higher education.
