Creative and Fun Learning Using the iPad

Many schools across Scotland have purchased iPads to raise attainment for their learners through the use of educational apps. After the initial excitement of using them, there is quite often a lull as they become everyday classroom objects.

We want to show you some ways they can be used creatively to achieve learning objectives while achieving maximum student engagement and enjoyment.

What will be covered?

  • Designing animations and comic books
  • Creating videos (including green screen), using iMovie and stop animation
  • Making a hologram
  • Magic apps for spelling, maths and literacy
  • Outdoor use of iPads on school trips
  • Making music with Garageband and other musical apps
  • Use of iPad for VI student

Who is the seminar for?

  • Teachers, learning assistants, support for learning staff
    - anyone who has access to iPads in an educational setting
  • Head teachers, senior management, faculty heads
    - anyone who is looking for creative ideas to motivate learners and make best use of the iPads in the school

About the day


The seminar starts at 9:30am and finishes at 12:30pm.

Registration is from 9.00am.


  • Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the morning;
  • Selection of biscuits will be available;
