Ceitidh the Gaelic voice - licence file fix

Posted by Robert Stewart on the 5th January, 2016

Unfortunately, an issue with the licence file for the Gaelic voice has been identified that causes the voice to expire on the 1st January 2016. The issue only affects downloads of the voice before January 5th and the voice will not work unless the licence file is upgraded.

To upgrade the licence so that it will never expire, follow the instructions below:

Microsoft Windows

  1. Download the new licence file
  2. Unzip the downloaded file (licence.zip) and extract the file 'license.lic'
  3. Navigate to C:Program FilesCereProcCereVoice Ceitidh 3.3.0
  4. Replace the 'license.lic' in this folder with the file you extracted in step 1.

NB: If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, you will need to navigate to C:Program Files (x86)CereProcCereVoice Ceitidh 3.3.0

Apple OSX:

  1. Download the new licence file
  2. Unzip the downloaded file (licence.zip) and extract the file 'license.lic'
  3. Navigate to /Library/Speech/Voices/CereVoice3_klm.SpeechVoice/Contents/Resources/voice/
  4. Replace the 'license.lic' in this folder with the file you extracted in step 1.
