Engaging iPad tips and tools to support children and young people with complex learning needs

33

30th May, 2024 (4:00pm - 4:30pm)

£20 per individual.

30 minute bite-sized learning sessions.

In this 30-minute bite-sized online learning session, Claire will bring a wealth of experience and expertise in her use of the iPad to engage and support children and young people with complex learning needs. You will be amazed at what is possible and excited to try out the tips with your learners!

Claire will explain and demonstrate how to use the multi media Book Creator app to create interactive books which can include character animations for that extra level of engagement. She will ‘app smash’ (a great way to get creative and use the best features of apps together) and show how to add writing animations to the book adding literacy to the activity.

You will learn about some of the excellent built in features on the iPad which can help to create a distraction-free learning environment such as iOS17 Assistive Access. And how to use Spilt View to scaffold communication - it’s going to be a great whirlwind 30 minutes!
