We are happy to share that for the first time ever, CALL Scotland’s symbolised shared reading resources for the 'Bookbug at Home' bag are available as printed boards inside the bags, possible due to our additional funding from Scottish Government this year.
1000 of these bags have just been gifted to families across Scotland, by Scottish Book Trust.

The printed boards have simple instructions on them, describing how to use the boards to help children with ASN, communication difficulties or EAL engage with the stories and participate with a parent or carer in Shared Reading. The resources also help to develop early literacy skills in a fun way too!
In addition they have a QR code, taking you to our Symbols for All website, where a further range of symbol resources, including talking communication boards for iPads, are available for anyone to download, as well as two handy 'Help videos' where you can see the resources in action and learn how to use them!
