Bookbug P1 Family Bag Symbolised Resources 2025

CALL Scotland's wide range of symbol resources to accompany Scottish Book Trust’s P1 Family bag 2025 books are now available to download.

The 3 books will be gifted to every P1 child in Scotland by Scottish Book Trust, as part of the Primary 1 Family Bag in time for Book Week Scotland, which runs from the 17th to 23rd of November, 2025.

The 3 books in this year's bags are:

• Holey Moley by Bethan Clarke and Anders Frang
• My Pet Start by Corinne Averiss and Rosalind Beardshaw
• One Goose Two Moose by Kael Tudor and Nicola Slater

The symbol resources are available for anyone to download and use with their children or learners who have communication support needs, English as an Additional Language or early level literacy skills. These include a symbol supported Teaching Activity to go with each book.

There are printable PDF symbol resources as well as digital talking communication boards for the Free Commmuncation app, Soundingboard.

There are also Clicker writing resources and Grid 3 eye gaze enabled writing resources, specific to each book, available again this year. These can be used with Clicker 8, Clicker Writer app, Grid 3 and Grid for iPad app.

So, plenty of NEW ready-made Bookbug symbolised resources to use with your learners and get ready for Book Week Scotland!
