I have just joined the CALL Scotland team to take up the post of Development Officer for Assistive Technology and Complex Additional Support Needs.
I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 1997 with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and have spent the last 15 years teaching learners with complex needs in mainstream and special schools throughout England & Scotland.
My role at CALL will involve assessing young people with severe and complex needs, providing appropriate assistive technology, liaising with key contacts in schools and with external agencies, training sessions/hosting webinars, undertaking specific areas of research in the field of complex needs, disseminating information and providing advice and support.
I look forward to meeting everybody.
