New Symbols for All Updates

It’s a new year, and our Symbols for All website has a new look and lots of new and refreshed symbol resources!

The updated resources include a wide range of printable materials across every area of the curriculum.

Whether you are looking for Core Vocabulary Communication boards, maths help sheets, or step-by-step science experiment instructions, you will find a variety of ready-to-go ideas and activities to help you get started using symbols across the curriculum. 

Some highlights of the updated resources include:

• Core Word Communication Pack: A starter set of Core Word communication boards in various sizes and formats, perfect for introducing and modelling core vocabulary.
• Room on the Broom Scots Vocabulary: A word mat with picture symbol supports for the vocabulary in the Scots translation of Julia Donaldson’s fantastic picture book ‘Room on the Broom’. 
• Handwashing Sequences: Step-by-step visual prompts to support learners in developing independence in daily routines.
• Play Flip Book: everything you need to create a simple communication book about play activities, including step-by-step instructions for assembly. 

All the Symbols for All resources are created using Boardmaker Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) and Widgit Symbols. If you can access Boardmaker 7 or InPrint software, you can download a copy of the original files to edit and personalise them for your learners. However, don’t forget that all of the Symbols for All curricular resources can be freely downloaded and printed as PDFs:
