That’s where we come in. This webinar series is designed to guide you - step by step - towards helpful places, practical resources, and trusted tools that can make a real difference in your child’s learning journey.
At CALL Scotland, we know that assistive and communication technology can be a game-changer. But we also know that it can feel overwhelming - especially if you're not sure where to start. That’s why we’ve created a short, friendly webinar series just for parents and carers.
This isn’t about tech jargon or expensive equipment. It’s about practical tools and resources that can help your child learn, communicate, and thrive.
We’ll explore:
Simple ways to support reading, writing, and organisation
Free and low-cost tools that can make a big difference
Real-life examples from families and schools
Because you don’t need to be a technology expert to support your child. You just need a bit of guidance, a few ideas, and a space to ask questions. That’s exactly what this series offers.
The series will initially run online in the evening (7pm) via Teams, with 3 short, informal sessions you can join from home.
Live demonstrations
Tips you can try straight away
A chance to ask questions and share your experiences
Find out more about each individual session and sign up to join us. Although we hope you’ll be able to join us live and benefit from the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, we understand that life and commitments can often get in the way. For that reason we will be recording the sessions so you can always catch up later at a time that suits you better if you need to.
If you have any questions about these sessions please reach out directly to Kirsteen.steven@ed.ac.uk
