We are excited to announce the launch of our newly updated self-study online masterclass, "Technology to Support Dyslexia in Education," now available at no cost. This course explores the immense potential of technology to help pupils who face challenges with reading, writing, planning, and numeracy overcome barriers to learning.
About the course
Technology to Support Dyslexia in Education offers step-by-step guides on making the most of technology, whether it's freely available apps, built-in features, or specialist support tools – many of which can be found in schools across Scotland and further afield.
This self-study course (no tutors) includes video tutorials, downloadable PDF resources including technology checklists, posters, and infographics, relevant journal articles, as well as interactive labelled guides for software programs to familiarise yourself with – no need to have the software installed as the interactive guides will highlight the main tools and features.
In addition, there are 'end-of-section quizzes' for you to try as well as an 'end-of-course activity' so you can put your new knowledge and skills into practice.
The course renders beautifully on all devices (laptops, iPads, iPhones, Androids, etc.), so you can work your way through the course at your leisure.
There are 7 sections in total, and within each section there are detailed sections covering, early years, primary, and secondary.
