Our offices are on the top floor, turn left, in Paterson's Land.
Getting to us from Edinburgh Airport
- Taxi takes about 25 minutes and is approximately £20. Ask for Moray House in St. Johns Street, off Holyrood Road.;
- Airport bus (Airlink 100) takes about 30 minutes and costs £4.50 single and £7.50 return drops you off at Waverley Bridge in the city centre;
- Tram takes about 25 minutes and costs £5 single and £8 return. Get off outside the National Gallery of Scotland on Princes Street.

Getting to us from Waverley Train Station
By taxi
- Leave by the Market Street exit. (Wheelchair users can access this by lift).
- There is a taxi rank at the Market Street exit;
- Ask for Moray House in St. Johns Street, off Holyrood Road (taxi drivers will NOT know how to find CALL Scotland);
- It will take about 5 minutes to get to Moray House.

By foot
- Leave by the Market Street exit. (Wheelchair users can access this by lift).
- Turn left onto Market Street;
- 50 feet down the road, cross and go up Jeffrey Street and follow it round;
- Turn left onto the Royal Mile at the cross roads;
- Approximately 150 metres down the road you'll see a 'zebra' style pedestrian crossing with an archway (St John's Pend) on the right hand side;
- Walk half way down St John's Street until you come to an entry on the left into a landscaped quadrangle;
- Walk into the quadrangle;
- Paterson's Land is the large building on the right with the pointy roof and large window.

Getting to us by Car
From the West (M8, A702)
- To avoid problems in town, from the M8, get on A720 City Bypass at Hermiston Gait roundabout (going 'East & South').
- Travel along the Bypass for 15 miles to Sheriff Hall Roundabout.
- then take exit A7 North exit, signposted City Centre to Cameron Toll Roundabout and follow round in ‘Old Town’ lane, under railway bridge, onto Dalkeith Road (A7).
- Go along Dalkeith Road through various traffic lights, eventually after 2 miles, down a steep hill (The Pleasance).
- turn right at the bottom onto Holyrood Road.

From the East and South (A7)
- Join the A720 City Bypass and travel to the Sheriff Hall Roundabout.
- then take exit A7 North exit, signposted City Centre to Cameron Toll Roundabout and follow round in ‘Old Town’ lane, under railway bridge, onto Dalkeith Road (A7).
- Go along Dalkeith Road through various traffic lights, eventually after 2 miles, down a steep hill (The Pleasance).
- turn right at the bottom onto Holyrood Road.

From the North (M90)
- After crossing the Forth Road Bridge, travel along the A90 and take the second turn off for Queensferry Road (A90).
- Travel along the A90 through the city until you reach a fork in the road at Farmer Autocare.
- Take right hand road and travel along Hillhouse Road (A90) for a mile.
- At the mini roundabout (after the Holiday Inn on your right), turn second right at mini roundabout up Belford Road.
- Drive along Belford Road, along Belford Terrace and onto Palmerston Place.
- Go straight along onto Torphichen Street to the far end, up the hill to right then left past the International Conference Centre.
- Take middle lane through traffic lights onto Bread Street.
- Go along WestPort, Grassmarket, Cowgate, to Holyrood Road.

Car Parking
Disabled parking
- There are metered parking spaces in St John's Street which can be used by disabled drivers.
- There are also two disabled parking spaces in the small University car park just off the left side of St John's Street.
- There are disabled parking spaces on the opposite side of Holyrood Road, slightly up towards the Cowgate (i.e. to the left, when facing Paterson's Land).
- There are also disabled parking spaces in the lane to the right of Paterson's Land.
- Wheelchair users can access Paterson's Land through the main entrance from the Quad, which you access from St John's Street. Take the lift to the 1st Floor if you are coming to CALL Scotland. (There is a wheelchair ramp at the Holyrood Road entrance but it's not finished yet (December 2023).
St John's Street
- There are metered parking spaces in St John's Street beside the Moray House campus.
NCP carpark
There is an NCP car park at St John’s Hill, Holyrood Road near the traffic lights on the junction with the Cowgate, the Pleasance and St. Mary’s Street.
The University of Edinburgh has an NCP discount machine in the foyer - 24 hours for £6.
Once parked:
- Walk down Holyrood Road,
- Cross the road and go into Paterson's Land quad, and enter the building. Take the lift or stairs up to the first floor.
