60 minute Online Learning workshop
Reading is for everyone! Do you know learners who potentially miss out on opportunities to engage with books?
In this online workshop, Claire Harrison, an Assistive Technology and ASN Teacher on the CALL team will demonstrate how to create digital books that can be accessed by learners who use switches or eye gaze. Participants will be guided through the steps required to create accessible books using a variety of software and apps including Grid 3, PowerPoint, Book Creator and Tar Heel reader.
As well as finding out how to set up PowerPoints for switch access and use templates to create Eye Gaze accessible books in Grid 3 and Grid for iPad, participants will learn how to create an iOS Switch Recipe in order to turn pages using a switch in books made with the Book Creator for iPad app.
This course was held on the 26th October, 2023 but you can still purchase a recording of the session.
You'll also receive all the resources that were sent out with the course.
