Exploring the iPad's built-in tools to support dyslexia

4

6th October, 2022 (4:00pm - 5:30pm)

£40 per individual.

90 minute Online Learning workshop.

The iPad is a popular device in schools and at home too. For pupils with dyslexia who have difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, organisation and processing information, technologies such as the iPad, can provide them with the opportunity to work more independently and to boost their confidence.

In this course, Craig will explore all the built in accessibility features of the iPad to support literacy difficulties including help with spelling. He will demo the individual features and show how they can support a dyslexic pupil and help to increase productivity. This will be a great opportunity to spend some time learning about the features on iPads you may have had in the class for a while and not used to their full potential.

Craig will also signpost you to a range of resources and provide advice on some useful apps which are now appearing in our world famous dyslexia app wheel.
