Complex Learning Needs: Using technology to support Early Literacy

90 minute Online Learning workshop.

This practical course will demonstrate Software, apps and assistive technology tools to support early literacy skills for children and young people with complex learning needs. We will explore creative ways of adapting and innovating to make learning materials more accessible, including ideas for using iPad apps, Software and 'No Tech' practical materials, and switch and eye gaze accessible resources. We will also highlight valuable resources, information and websites.

  • Learn which software, apps and practical materials can be used to create early literacy learning activities.
  • Consider how to make early level literacy resources accessible for switch, touch and eye gaze users.
  • Know where to find information, resources and further Professional Learning Opportunities.
