Presenter(s): Rohan Slaughter, University of Dundee

The University of Dundee recently launched an MSc in Educational Assistive Technology. This exciting new course - commencing in January 2021 - plans to give formal recognition to the role of an Assistive Technologist working in education.  Rohan collaborated with the University when in his Jisc role to develop the course structure and has now moved over to the University as a lecturer in order to develop and deliver the course content.

In this webinar, Rohan will provide an overview of the module content, modes of delivery and entry requirements. The educational assistive technologist is seen as an emerging profession and draws on skills and knowledge from education, assistive technology, and therapeutic approaches. This comprehensive curriculum equips students with the required breadth of skills to be successful in this multidisciplinary role.
