Accessible and fun sensory stories!

My Kind of Book creates and promotes books for children with additional support needs. Founder of My Kind of Book Ailie Finlay, a professional storyteller, has been telling stories to people with complex additional needs for many years.

In this joint webinar, Ailie will talk about how to find and choose objects and props for sensory stories that are easily available, encourage engagement and convey meaning. She will also talk about easy ways to include simple communication aides to make our sensory stories more fun.

Joanna Courtney, specialist SALT at CALL Scotland will bring in another dimension by demonstrating how to use assistive technology to make the stories accessible to all.
