Presenter(s): Shirley Lawson, CALL Scotland

There can be a great deal of anxiety for Primary 7 dyslexic pupils (and their parents) about the transition up to high school and apprehension on how they will cope with an increased workload. Will teachers know of the challenges they face due to their literacy challenges?

In this webinar, Shirley will explain how the transition can be made easier by creating a pupil OneNote Digital notebook which can be shared with S1 teachers. This will support the pupil to be organised as well as being able to use the built in OneNote assistive tools to support reading, writing and spelling.

There will be discussion on why it is essential to provide a digital curriculum for dyslexic learners and how teachers can do it using Universal Design for Learning principles therefore saving them time and effort.
