Smartphone or tablet use has almost become a prerequisite in modern life for communication, learning, work and entertainment. Yet, for many people, using a smartphone or tablet can be a frustrating experience due to literacy difficulties, cognitive issues or physical disability. Phone calls and text messages, listening to music, watching videos or opening a specific app can prove difficult to achieve without support, reducing self-determination and increasing reliance on others.
Android devices are popular due to their relative affordability. While they may lack some of the specialist AT and AAC apps that iOS devices have, they can still be a very useful tool.
In this webinar Sandy Brain will demonstrate how Android devices can be made more accessible and adapted to an individual's needs, increasing their independence, choice and control. This involves using free or low cost customisation and automation apps in conjunction with some of the operating system's built in accessibility features.
Once a month we'll send you an email with news, research and thoughts, as well as training courses and free webinars you may wish to attend.
