Introducing IssieApps: Apps to promote communication and participation in school

The Technology Center at Beit Issie Shapiro is a leading organisation in Israel in the field of disabilities. They provide multiple services including implementation of technology for people with disabilities to improve their quality of life and participation in life activities. The professional staff at Beit Issie Shapiro have created a series of apps to meet some unmet educational and therapeutic needs.

In this webinar, Dana, an occupational therapist, and Rachel, a speech and language therapist, will demo a number of apps designed to improve participation of students with disabilities in their daily lives, including a customisable keyboard app, an app for organising and editing worksheets, and a video dictionary app to help build and organise your sign language vocabulary. Their apps follow inclusive design principles and have customisable features to maximise the experience of various users.
