Supporting individuals to express their views on AAC using Talking Mats

Talking Mats is a social enterprise whose vision is to improve the lives of people with communication difficulties by increasing their capacity to think about and communicate effectively about things that matter to them. In this webinar, Laura will outline the new Supporting Communication with AAC resource from Talking Mats which has been developed in collaboration with the ACE Centre and SCTCI. It aims to put the AAC user at the heart of decision making about their communication.

Laura will outline how this resource can support people considering using AAC for the first time and explains how it can be used alongside existing AAC systems. She will also introduce a new advanced online AAC module available to anyone already trained in Talking Mats.
