We are pleased and proud that Kirsteen presented a session at BETT 2025 this morning. It's great to see a member of the CALL Scotland team contributing at an international event.
Kirsten was invited to present a session on Integrating assistive technology in mainstream classrooms:
This presentation is tailored for educators in mainstream schools who aim to enhance their teaching practices through the integration of assistive technology. Participants will learn how to effectively incorporate these tools into their classrooms, with the objective of improving learning experiences for all students. The session will cover selecting appropriate assistive technologies, implementing them seamlessly, and evaluating their impact on student engagement and achievement. By attending, educators will gain valuable insights and practical skills to create more inclusive and supportive learning environments, ultimately benefiting both teachers and students.
Kirsteen's session was in the theatre in the new SEND Village which is hosting presentations, case studies, and live product demonstrations from practitioners and innovators.
There are over 40 sessions across nine different content areas to ensure that additional support for learning (ASL) and SEND (Special educational needs and disabilities) is embedded as a core part of the conversations taking place at the show.
Congratulations Kirsteen and we look forward to hearing about your trip!
