Front page of Special Apps for Very Special LearnersThe wonderful Flo Longhorn (Flo Publications Ltd) has produced a couple of new  updates to her 2012 book, iPads, Apps and Very Special Learners, with information on some apps that are currently available to support very special learners, typically with complex additional support needs. She has asked CALL Scotland to help make them available to teachers, therapists and parents in Scotland.

The May 2020 and June 2020 updates are both available free from Flo's web site. Both list a variety of apps that can be used to help support learners with very special needs. The main focus is on iPad apps, but Flo makes the point that many of the same apps are also available for Android tablets from Google Play. Most of the apps featured in the updates are free, or low cost.

Many of the apps in the Updates are also featured in our wheel of iPad Apps for Learners with Complex Additional Support Needs poster.
