These books have all been included in Primary 1 Family Bags distributed each year by Scottish Book Trust. The accessible digital versions are available for download from the Books for All website.
There are PowerPoint switch prompt and PowerPoint recorded narration versions, and some Keynote for iOS, Grid for iPad and eye gaze accessible Grid 3 versions. This is an interactive PDF, and clicking on the icons under the books will take you straight to the download pages. These accessible digital versions can be used with learners in Scotland with a print disability. In addition, symbolised resources for some titles are available from the Symbols for All website.
Below is an accessible breakdown of the contents of the PDF poster, designed to be accessible with a screen reader, and also for people who find it hard to see or access the links in the poster.
These books have all been finalists in the Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2009-2020. CALL Scotland have worked with Scottish Book Trust, the authors and publishers to create Accessible Copies of these books so that learners with print disabilities can read and participate in the Book Prize.
Professionals working in schools in Scotland can create a free account and download these books for their learners with print disabilities.
Print disabilities can include people with physical, sensory or learning difficulties.
