Are you using text-based communication apps on iPad and finding it a difficult at times to know what to recommend and to whom? Would you like an independent view on which apps to consider and information on their usability and key features? We’d like to help.
On Thursday 14th May, 16.00 – 17.30 BST, we will be hosting an online learning workshop for staff supporting people with communication difficulties, whether a young person or adult, with basic literacy skills or more. Through reviewing and discussing a number of the key text-based communication apps available, we aim to help you choose and get started in using them. The cost of attending the workshop is £30.
Can you help us to help you through our app research!
To accompany the course, we have created an anonymous short survey to help us to update and share information on usage of text-based apps. The results will be revealed at the online workshop on 14th May. The information gathered will also be used for publishing a new update of our App Wheel - iPad Apps for Complex Communication Support Needs.
The questions are easy and it will probably only take a couple of minutes to answer them, so please complete and send us your responses. The survey will close, end of Wednesday 13th May.
