Kirsteen Steven

After 19 years in the classroom, I am delighted to have joined the CALL Scotland team as Assistive Technology and Additional Support Needs Teacher. I have always had a particular interest in the use of technology to support learners. I was the teacher who volunteered, at the time, to have the first interactive panel installed in their classroom! Having taught in both mainstream and specialist provision I recognise the need to have high expectations for all learners and for them to have access to technology which will enable them to be successful learners. In my role of leading the Professional Learning Programme at CALL Scotland I will focus on ensuring that we continue to provide relevant and quality training on assistive technologies to colleagues working with children and young people with additional support needs and/or disabilities.
